Your Opportunity to becoming a Probation Services Officer

How do you protect your community while helping an offender re-join it? How do you make a victim feel safe again? How can you stop reoffending? These are the questions we ask – and answer – every day.

How to apply
Take the first steps in becoming a probation services officer by starting your application today. Simply click on the apply icon represented by the 'paper and pencil' below for the division you'd like to apply within.

If you'd like to be considered in more than one division, please do not make multiple applications. You will have the opportunity to provide a second and third choice of location in your application form.

Once you begin your application you will be asked to register your details, including your full name and your email address. You will need to use these same details (your email address and the password) in order to log back in to the system and check the progress of your application, so please ensure that it is memorable to you.

The Divisions
HMPPS have Probation Services Officer roles across the UK in a number of divisions. You will need to make your application to the division that you would prefer to work in.

Applications are currently closed for Probation Services Officers. Please register for future intakes to be the first to know when applications open again.
